Question by Jordan: Is it legal to own a raccoon as a pet in NY state?
I would love to own a raccoon as a pet. I live in more of a “country” area than suburban. If i was to get one, would be able to de-claw it or de-fang it?

In New York state its probably illegal but in New York City it definitely is..not to sure about the state though in some part it may or it may not..call your local wildlife and fishery place and see they would tell you
