Chinese Water Dragon
Maybe an owl it’s exotic and I’ve never heard of someone that has an owl as a pet
I think a hermit crab only 5$
You might want to check out a Uromastyx (Spiny-tailed lizard). Adults are gentle, tolerant of handling, and fun to watch. Other good reptiles as pets are Inland Bearded Dragons. Most juvenile lizards are lively and always looking for a way to escape your grasp. The mature ones are more relaxed and willing to sit still and soak up the attention. Frequent gentle handling trains them to be calm and relaxed around humans. Read all you can about them, through Wikipedia and other online resources to get the best feel for what will work for you.
There really isn’t one true answer to this question. Different pets are best for different people.
Birds are great! But the bigger the bird, the bigger the responsibility. If you’ve never had a bird before, I definitely do not recommend jumping right into having a large exotic parrot or anything. Perhaps start out with something like a cockatiel or budgie? They make wonderful pets – they are very smart and loving, and can easily be trained. They do need lots of attention though, so make sure you’re home with them as often as possible!
Are you interested in reptiles at all? There are tons of amazing reptiles, but again, if you lack experience, don’t start with something huge or complicated. Maybe start out with something like a corn snake? The albino ones are bright orange in colour, and they do look quite exotic! The care is pretty basic, and there is a lot of information out there about them!
Small animals are fun, too! Things like hamsters and mice are very easy to care for, but maybe not quite what you are looking for. Rats make great pets! They are smart, clean, and very affectionate. Again, they too can be easily trained. If you have lots of space, perhaps even a ferret or chinchilla would be a good option for you.
Fish are also pretty exciting, and there are some amazing exotic fish species out there. Fish can be a little bit of a handful because of all the water maintenance, but it can be worth it! If you’ve never had fish before, a good place to start would be a tropical community aquarium. These guys are very colourful and fun! I wouldn’t recommend anything that gets too big, or anything that has large space requirements such as a goldfish or certain types of cichlids, if you’re just starting out.
Hope this information helps you out! And remember, the pet always has to come first, their needs and requirements are more important than your wants and desires; they rely on you for everything!
toucan
Seeing how you like birds, Macaws or Toucans are pretty exotic and unusual. They cost a lot though and expensive to take care of.
